I am happy to announce the Income Heroes Update for May 2018.

As of today, 29 out of 31 currently selected Income Heroes spread around the globe published their monthly dividend (and option) income. RoadMap2Retire and DividendMeter are still missing. I will add their numbers when published.

Dividend Income

In total 26,393 USD (22,560 EUR) were received which means an average dividend income of 910.13 USD (777.96 EUR) . A nice amount of passive dividend income for a single person.

The individual dividend income was affected by the portfolio’s market value, the dividend strategy (growth vs income) and the Income Hero’s country of living, which influenced the selected dividend stocks. Especially German dividend investors received high dividends from Germany dividend stocks paying dividends only once a year. These one-time dividends are mostly paid in April and May, which explains why the Top Five of total income for April and May are dominated by German Income Heroes. This will change very soon.

Option Income

Some dividend investors added option income to their toolbox (like me, by the way). Yet, with RoadMap2Retire still missing, only 4 Income Heroes with option income exist. Compared to dividends the total option income of 1,540 USD (1,320 EUR) is rather modest. Though all results were positive which is – contrary to dividends – not self-explanatory.

Total Income Growth

These are maybe the most impressive numbers. Comparing the last 12 months to the 12 months before, the average increase of mostly passive dividend income was 44.7% . The Dividend Pig managed an increase of 177% purely based on dividends alone. Congrats!

In May, Income Heroes demonstrated the world once again that creating an ever-increasing stream of dividend income is possible.
